LOCAL MISSIONS
CareNet – www.carenetri.org
CareNet provides crisis pregnancy counseling and Christian based alternatives to abortion. In addition, they offer education and advice to young men and women regarding proper relationships, childcare, etc. This is a crucial service to our young people. They have also begun an abstinence education program under a different program name that allows them into public schools. CareNet has recently become a medical facility with the donation of an ultrasound machine from Focus on the Family.

The Artic Mission is located directly in the heart of West Warwick on Main Street. It has operated for five years and consists of two outreach programs. The first and original inspiration for Artic Mission is the Giving Room. The Giving Room is a clothing, household appliance, and baby care item ministry open three days a week. The Upper Room is the second outreach program. It is a coffee house with live Christian entertainment every Saturday night. There are several game tables for kids of all ages. The mission is in the middle of a capital campaign called “Feed the Needy” to add a soup kitchen to the Upper Room ministry.
Providence Rescue Mission – www.providencerescuemission.org
Providence Rescue Mission – Located in one of the toughest sections of South Providence, the Providence Rescue Mission provides food, shelter, and the gospel to homeless people in Providence. Many are drug addicts, alcoholics, and prostitutes. They also provide a one year residence program of life change for those who make a serious commitment to the program. In addition they have a clothing ministry.

RI Men of Hope works with churches in RI to assist with Men’s Ministry efforts and to bring major venues to RI, such as Promise Keepers.

Iron Sharpens Iron comes along side churches in New England to assist with Men’s Ministry efforts. They hold numerous seminars for men throughout New England.
Family Life (Ron Miller) – www.familylife.com
Ron Miller has a variety of functions within the Family Life organization including assisting to train and coordinate the efforts of Family Life Marriage Conference event planning teams. He also assists with the Spanish version of the same venue. Family Life Conference and Home Builder programs provide essential teaching and curriculum for building and maintaining solid, Christ-centered marriages and families.
Althetes in Action (Walt Day) – www.aia.com
Athletes in Action fields national and international teams in several sports. Athletes and coaches become equipped in how to minister through their sport. Athletes and coaches are not only trained to do ministry, they also have excellent opportunities to play their sport. Competing locally and internationally, AIA sports teams combine a passion for God and athletic excellence into one unique effort.
Campus Crusade (Regina Pei)
Regina Pei is a part of the Campus Crusade Ministry in New York. In Regina’s program, she reaches out to students with the Gospel message and actively recruits and trains volunteers to lead the fellowship and evangelism efforts on campus.

Dan Chesney Minstries conducts outreach programs in Europe, and this year spent a great deal of time in the very hard soil of England.
Living Water (Fred and Marion Brummet)
Establishing a Christian presence and bringing the Gospel to widows in Egypt. Operates the Adopt-A-Child mission in Guatemala, the Dominican Republic and Albania. Run by Fred and Marion Brummet.
Globe Missions Evangelism (Howie and Nan Atherton)
Howie and Nan Atherton-Globe is committed to assisting the Body of Christ in fulfilling the Great Commission by sending, supporting, and overseeing missionaries on the foreign field.
